Coaching and Mentoring

The mentoring process targets both providing consultancy by sharing information and recommendations and also developing the mentee. Often, the mentor has extensive experience and knowledge in the mentorship domain. However, mentee’s choice whether to use the mentors advice or how to implement it.

Mentoring, also includes being a role model and being supportive for the mentee to get rid of limiting beliefs and form empowering beliefs.

Coaching differs from mentoring. In coaching, it is assumed that the customer already has all the resources needed. By asking powerful questions an awareness is attained in the customer and the customer arrives at his own solutions. There is no knowledge transfer or guiding the customer.

As Nilsight, we believe that providing mentoring and coaching together, in areas we have extensive experience and knowledge in, is very effective and beneficial. Thus the customer/mentee both benefits from our know-how and also progresses in growth and transformation via the coaching process.
