Coaching and Therapy

A therapist, is an expert trained to diagnose and treat the problems and illness of the client and treats to heal the emotional and mental wounds of the client. Most theraphy methods focus on the past life of the client in order to detect the causes of the current state.

Coaching focuses on the present and the goals of the customer. The coach is neither trained for nor has the mission to diagnose the problems or analyze the past of the client. The coaching relationship is a relationship of equals, in which the coach and the customer collaborate for the growth and transformation of the customer. Coach is interested in the “how” rather than the “why”. Customer arrives at own solutions by accessing the resources within. Often the customer breaks free of limiting patterns and makes courageous choices. Experiencing transformation may cause a feeling of healing in the customer.

Although coaching and therapy are completely different processes, it can be beneficial to get coaching in parallel to therapy.
